Talkatora Gardens

"Cosmic Delight Of Meandering Waterways"

Talkatora Gardens is also known as the Talkatora Bagh. It is situated on the wellington crescent road in the New President’s estate, New Delhi. It is well known for its indoor stadium and for its victory as it was the same ground where the Mughals won their battle against the Marathas in 1738.
The word ‘ Talkatora’ is divided into two words, ‘Tal’ which means a water tank and ‘Katora’ which means a bowl which translates into a large water tank. The water tank has been transformed into a large swimming pool.
The garden has a range of flowers, green lush meadows and water bodies that surround it. The lawns in the garden are often used for various shows, competitions and cultural programs apart from being a picnic spot for a peaceful atmosphere.
