An Amalgamation of three Museums

Sanskriti Museums are an amalgamation of three museums including Museum of Indian Terracotta (tribal art), Museum of 'Everyday Art' and Textile Museum. As far as its location is concerned then it is tucked in Sanskriti Kendra Complex at Anandagram.

Anandagram is an artist village complex that is spread over 8 acres and situated 10 kilometers south of New Delhi.

The foundation stone of this museum in Delhi was laid by O.P. Jain in 1990 under the banner of 'Sanskriti Foundation', a non-profit organisation set up in 1978.

The motive behind establishing this museum was to cultivate and preserve arts and handicrafts

When you enter its premises you'll come across exhibit rooms and artist residences that are important in facilitating artisans an atmosphere helpful for polishing their craft.

Museum of Everyday Art

The Museum of Everyday Art is a place that rejoices ignored innovations in designs. You can get your hands on making your own pot at ceramics and enamel centre. This centre operates classes and workshops whole day long.

In case you are interested in Metal Forming, Texturing, and Basse Taille (engraving), you can opt for their advanced classes.

Museum of Indian Terracotta

It houses more than 1,500 objects, scuptures, and figurines from tribal India. These artifacts are exhibited in the backdrop of their respective tribal arts.

Textile Museum

It lets you witness the best & the most diverse textile heritage of India.
