Akshardham Temple is one of the most important religious sites in Delhi. This is one of the most beautiful crafted buildings situated within the heart of Delhi. The main monument, at the center of the complex, is 43 m high, 96 m wide, and 109 m long and is covered top to bottom with carved details of flora, fauna, dancers, musicians, and deities.
The temple is located on the banks of the Yamuna River, on NH 24. It has well organized connectivity from all types of ways such as road and metro rail, which makes the temple one of the top tourist attractions of Delhi. The incredible Akshardham Temple was formed in November 2005 under the guidance of Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), which is a social-spiritual organization. Also known as Swaminarayan Akshardham. The temple boasts of excellent handicraft features, which are mentioned in the given lines.
The Temple has 'halls of values' which teach lessons to the people about the reality of the world by presenting the life of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. Entry to the Mandir complex is free of charge and open to everyone irrespective of faith, nationality or any other criteria.
Major Major Attractions:
Mandir: It is constructed entirely from Rajasthani pink sandstone and Italian Carrara marble, and has no support from steel or concrete. It is decorated with domes, carved pillars and 20,000 murtis (statues).
Hall of Values (Sahajanand Pradarshan): The Hall of Values is the most important feature of the Akshardham temple. Its features lifelike robotics and dioramas which display incidents from Swaminarayan's life, portraying his message about the importance of peace, harmony, humility, service to others and devotion to God.
Nilkanth Darshan: The film revolves around a child yogi, Neelkanth Varni. The screen is over six stories high.
Boat Ride (Sanskruti Vihar): This is one of the major center of attraction here. If you are visiting Akshardham Temple you should not miss the boat ride. This is a twelve-minute ride which displays 10,000 years of India’s heritage. From Vedic life to Takshashila and an era of ancient discoveries – you’ll get to experience it all.
Musical Fountains (Yagnapurush Kund): The musical fountain show is held in the evening and showcases the inter-dependency between God, nature and human. It will bring to you an extraordinary experience!
Garden of India (Bharat Upvan): Beautiful lawns and gardens with bronze statues add on to the charm of the entire complex. Yogihriday Kamal is a special lotus that reflects auspicious sentiments.
