Celebrations and Festivals in Jagannath Mandir, Delhi
The shrine has the idols of Lord Jagannath, Maa Subhadra (sister or Lord Jagannath), Lord Balbhadra (brother of Lord Jagannath) and Sudarshan Chakra installed.
Everyday early in the morning and at the dusk, the Aarti is performed by the priest and the mantra “Kshana madhuna Narayana manugatam" is chanted.
The famous Puri Rath Yatra is also held here, which is known as the car festival. With great fervor the replica of Puri's Rath Yatra is organised here in the month of June.
The chariot having Lord Jagannath's idol is taken on a journey of a few kilometers and then proceeded back to the shrine. Lakhs of Delhi's devotees take part into the festival and seek Lord's blessings.
Around the temple you'll find a number of shops selling souvenirs and worshipping items.
